Heath Ledger dead: Autopsy does not mention Zoloft

January 26th, 2008

I have noticed this recent pattern: Autopsies of people who were on psychotropic dugs will typically not reveal the brand names of the exact medication. If a school shooter was on Prozac or a Heath Ledger was on Zoloft, this will NOT be mentioned by the news media. It may be difficult to say that the death was caused by Zoloft specifically, it may be the drug cocktail in its entirety that had the devastating effect, but I believe that the news should openly mention what medications the person had, in this case Zoloft.

Should News Media NAME the drugs that the dead person was taking?
